God and the mountains
I read in a Lonely Planet: California book that God did a test run on the Alps before he created Yosemite. I am guessing that the author never left Interlaken to properly see the Alps.
...and I am sure as hell that the author did not go to Gimmelwald.

Did you stay at Balmer's in Interlakken? Cool hostel....
We stayed only one night in Interlaken at Funny Farm. The rooms were the pits but we had a nice lobby, bar and pool. We also ate at the best thai place I have ever visited right next to Ballmers. We stayed at the Mountain Hostel in Gimmelwald for 5 nights (Not Ginderwald). This hostel is the best kept secret.

I just got back from 2 weeks in Yosemite. I thought I was in heaven until I saw these pictures. Damn you Mauri Rummel.
